This is my independent project. For my independent project I chose to do another block print better then my first. To create this assignment I used stippling, cross-hatching and other forms of definition to reveal the shape of the flower. The art elements I used in this assignment were line and shape. The design elements I used in this assignment were contrast and pattern. I really enjoyed this assignment, with mixing different colors to make different colored prints.
This is my spooky trees assignment. In this painting I showed different layers of a forest, including some flowers and leaves. In this assignment for art elements I used shape, depth, space, and color. For design elements I used movement, proportion and unity. This is my dreamtime assignment. For this assignment I choose to show the story of me battling with my anxiety and depression. On the left side of the painting I showed myself in a very dark place, and on the right I showed myself in a very confident state. The design elements I used in this assignment were movement and unity. The art elements I used in this assignment were color and line. This is my block print assignment. I first searched the Internet for a flower where I was able to show 3 different types of texture. I used stipling, cross-hatching, and other forms of texture to embody my block print of a flower. The art elements I used in this assignment were texture, line, and shape. The design elements I used were pattern, emphasis, and unity. I really enjoyed this assignment because you could put a lot of time into creating different textures to show depth in the block print. By adding more texture to this assignment the shape of the flower and its surroundings would become visible. This Is my ink drawing of a flower. I drew this flower by constantly adding line and value to define the overall shape of the flower. The art elements I used for this assignment were value and shape. The design elements I used for this assignment were emphasis and unity. During this assignment I learned a lot about how different art and design elements can define a shape without an outline. Shading different areas and emphasizing others.
This is my landscape painting, i created this by taking a picture of Snoqualmie falls, then mixing different colors of acrylic paint to produce the color to match the picture. The art elements used were color and texture. The design elements i used were movement and contrast.
This is my room drawing. I created this with using a "vanishing point", which was placed in the center of the far wall. All the objects were based off that point. I created this assignment using the line and depth as art elements, and then I used scale as my design element. This is my vanishing point project. Using the vanishing point is when you choose a point on the paper called the "vanishing point" and all the shapes are connected based off that point. In this project I used line, shape, value, proportion and scale. I really enjoyed this peoject and leaned a lot with using the vanishing point. This is my vanishing point project. I created this by first sketching the apples that i had observed from a picture online. After that I mixed various colors to get the color to match what I saw on the picture. I left white spots on the apple where they were shinny from the light. I then painted the picture. In this assignment the art elements i used were form and color. The design elements I used were proportin and movement. |
